The 66-year-old saxophonist Bill Evans is undoubtedly one of the busiest and multifaceted musicians of his generation. He was a pivotal member of Miles Davis' infamous comeback band in 1980 when Evans was in his early 20s as well as with Herbie Hancock Willie Nelson Mick Jagger the WDR Big Band or the Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin to name a few. His bands "Push" "Big Fun" and most recently "Soulgrass" all defied categories and received critical acclaim worldwide (including 2 grammy nods along the way). This enormous range is presented on his new album "Who I Am" by the man from Illinois who now lives in Nashville.
